How it works
Refilling your candle vessels with our refills is easy and can be done in 4 simple steps!
Before we tell you HOW to refill, it's important to know WHEN to refill.
You'll need to stop burning and refill once your candle has approx 10mm of wax left.
How do you know when you reach 10mm? Easy!
We’ve engineered a shape unique to Honey Willow vessels, that makes it easy for you to see when to stop burning your candle and replace with a new refill.
When the wax is reaching the bottom, you’ll see the edges start to taper in. As soon as you see that, it’s time to refill! Pretty cool, aye?!
How to refill your Honey Willow vessel
-
Step 1: Â Remove wax
- To remove the wax, fill half of your container with hot (not boiling) water.
- Wait a few minutes for the wax to soften. Gently use a spoon to remove the wax and wick. Be careful not to scratch the inside of your vessel.
- Dispose of the left-over wax with care. Never put wax down the drain.Â
-
Step 2: Clean and checkÂ
- Gently clean the inside of the vessel with warm soapy water and dry with paper towel.Â
- Make sure the vessel is completely dry before using a refill.
- Before you refill, check carefully for any cracks or damage. Discontinue use immediately if there are signs of damage.
- It’s time to treat yourself to a new one!
-
Step 3: Peel and stick
- Unwrap your Honey Willow refill*.
- On the bottom of the refill, peel off the backing of the sticky dot.Â
- Place the refill inside your Honey Willow vessel, and press firmly so the sticky dot attaches to the base of the vessel.
*Honey Willow refills should only be used with compatible Honey Willow vessels. Do not use Honey Willow refills as free-standing pillar candles. -
